When I woke up this past Tuesday, the first drowsy thought to run through my mind was how the Lord has always taken care of me. My inward response, Yes, Lord, that’s true.
As the morning passed in the quietness that has blanketed Jerry’s and my life since we have been isolated from the rest of the world in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, I began to reflect on those moments when I knew without a doubt the Lord had been guiding and watching over me.
Every morning I like to read the Verse of the Day on BibleGateway.com. Tuesday, it was Psalm 23:1-3. As I read those verses and then the entire Psalm, the Lord’s peace began to wash away the unrest that was gathering in my heart. The “ifs” and “what abouts” were hushed by the Psalmist’s words. I knew then, the Lord would take care of me, even now.
I love Psalm 23 (ESV). As you read and let it soak in, I pray the promises found in this Psalm will strengthen and encourage your heart.
When everything seems to be out of control, it is so easy to get caught in the panic and confusion that is all around.
But for the Lord.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
God will never leave us or forsake us. Hebrews 13:5b
In His love,
