It’s hard to believe two Sundays ago was Easter, It’s hard to believe two Sundays ago was Easter, the day we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. To those who aren’t Christians and even to us who are, when the Easter egg hunts and Easter dinners are over, the celebration, fading into a sweet memory, could feel as if it has hardly been here at all. The happenings in our daily lives, once again taking center stage in our hearts and minds, try to crowd out the amazing truth of what happened a little over two thousand years ago when on the cross Jesus said, “It is finished.” Read more in today’s blog post. The delight I feel when I see my grandchildren blo The delight I feel when I see my grandchildren blossom into who they will possibly become fills my heart with such a deep affection that it makes me think I must be catching a glimpse of what our Heavenly Father feels when He delights in us. So I can’t imagine the Lord saying to any of us, For you to be happy and fulfilled, you need to put your nose to the grindstone and find your purpose in life.
